FUNDACION MEDO is a Non-Profit Organization Based in The Indigenous Community Of Soloy, District of Besiko, Ngobe -Bugle Cormaca Republic of Panama.
Medo aims to promote sustainable development in the Besiko District by connecting volunteers with the community to work with educational, environmental, health, tourism, and cultural programs.
Adán Bejerano founded Medo in 2005 to incite intercultural dialogue between the Comarca people and international volunteers. From its onset, Medo connected community members with volunteers from Canada, the U.S., and Europe. Initial projects addressed health issues in Soloy: including a water lab and the construction of 50 latrines.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Our objective is to recruit volunteers to the community to assist in educational programs and collaborate with local group and organizations in the areas of education, health, environment and cultural promotion, as well as, promote intercultural dialogue.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands — one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.
Fundacion medo was founded by senator Adan Bejerano Rios.
Fundacion medo vision is to see to it that all the people interest is reached and everyone is helped we see to it that all the needy get help.
Fundacion Medo is a non-profit organisation legally approved by the government of panama, purely to serve the indigenous community of soloy, district of besiko, ngobe- bugle cormaca republic of panama.
We would like to see children who walk on road for learning not for labours. Therefore, we humbly request to our people for help them and give support us.
